The aloe vera plant contains over 75 different nutrients including vitamins, minerals, enzymes, sugars, anthraquinones or phenolic compounds, lignin, saponins, sterols, amino acids and salicylic acid.

methylene blue will create a blue tint. It is best to apply to body. If applying to face for skincare benefits, dilute with coconut cream moisturizer or with your favourite moisturizer.

always store in fridge so that it creates a consistency where you cannot easily apply too much product.
The above is just a suggestion. It is best to start with samples if you have never tried a DHA-free formula before.. Always apply in the morning to dry skin following a shower, the first time following a thorough exfoliation for best results. Applying in the evening will not work. If you want to go for a darker tan, go one or two numbers up. For example, if you are in a wedding and have extra fair skin but want a little boost of colour that will show well in outdoor/evening photos, you may want to try 2 or 3 if you usually use 1. The Original Caramel Tan is now ‘1’. It will be best suited to you if you have extra fair, fair or Vanilla skin tone in our makeup. Light skin tones, or Almond and Macadamia suit our Caramel Tan + Extra Colour which is now ‘2’ as it is almost twice the colour as the Original, ‘1’. Deep Colour is now ‘3’ and is best for light medium skin tones or Burnt Almond level skin tones. The newest shade is the deepest and is ‘4’, best for medium skin tones and darker. This formula is unique in so many ways. It is best applied after a thorough face and body exfoliation to dry, bare skin fresh out of the shower. That way, the color will develop smoothly. It does not have an immediate tint as most DHA formulas do but the cream is white enough that you can tell when it is applied evenly. If you choose to add carrot seed oil it adds a hint of golden colour (not suggested if you will be wearing white the same day). Your ‘tan’ will take twice as long to develop as a DHA formula and will last longer too. Apply every day until desired colour is achieved and then once every three or four days to maintain colour. To extend the longevity of color, apply a plant based, hydrating moisturizer or raw plant oil daily and remember to apply a natural SPF as this ‘tan-looking colour’ does not protect you from the sun.
Important! Sample application instructions: Synthetic ingredients can deactivate the active tanning agent. If you are using my makeup and skincare, I have avoided any ingredients that would do that. If you are not sure of your makeup ingredients I would try it on a different area than the face and apply it generously. The third detail is that some try to spread the samples a little too thin. I recommend just a couple applications per sample on a small area like the inner lower forearm. So you would split the one sample in half (it doesn’t have to be perfectly equal), first half on first day of application, the second half two days after the first application and do not stretch it any further. The inside forearm is a good place. Always apply in the morning!
